"Olethros" 25 Fashion Show hosted by USC's Fashion Industry Association

'Liminal oasis' focuses on the in-between; specifically where we examine traditions of transition and what exists in that negative space. Liminal oasis focuses on that space as a place of peace and inner paradise. To combine this concept with the notion of olethros, we can situate our show in a thesis that examines the space between destruction and renewal. What exists there? Things are more beautiful having been damaged/broken/challenged/aged, and the journey of people and objects is what adds character and beauty. We will highlight beauty in what is transient and destructible, and its subsequent enhanced potential for storytelling. It represents a full life having been lived (by a person or object), bringing inner peace and fulfillment.
